The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Residential Care Guide/Caregiver who has a heart for elderly care. Is working in a fun team something for you? With us, the number of hours you work and whether you have a preference for working during the day or in the evening is open for discussion.

What you'll do

Do you find it a challenge to make a difference for our residents together with your colleagues and do you like to contribute your part to an optimal experience of their day? You coach, stimulate, and guide residents on an individual level in all their daily activities. You make use of the resident's existing capabilities, so that they can achieve or maintain as much independence as possible within a safe living environment. In this regard, it is important to maintain good contact with informal caregivers.

In addition to providing high-quality care and guiding the resident, you are also occupied with observing the residents. Drafting, implementing, and evaluating the care and lifestyle plan with the associated interventions is also part of your duties. Together, we focus on topics that increase the sense of well-being and quality of life for residents.

Where you will work

Swaenesteyn is a lively and cozy nursing home in the Leyenburg district of The Hague. This location is part of the specialized care expertise domain. Our residents live in a spacious two-room apartment where they receive (complex) somatic nursing care. With us, you will find yourself in a dynamic working environment, where employees are encouraged to think along about changes and improvements in care.

With our care and welfare team, we try with great enthusiasm and pleasure to collectively make the residents as happy as possible. Residents receive support with care and treatment, but also with realizing a meaningful, extensive daily routine such as they were used to at home. We challenge each other to deliver more quality and to make a difference together.
