As an apprentice Care and Welfare Assistant, you play an important role in supporting residents with their daily activities. You help with personal care such as washing, dressing, and eating, and contribute to a safe, homely environment in which residents feel safe, seen, and valued. During your training, you will learn how to encourage residents in their independence and how to guide them in a respectful manner. You will also learn how to collaborate with the resident's social network and how to provide care that truly aligns with someone's wishes and needs. In your training, you choose the "Helpende plus" elective module, where you will also learn about vital signs, medication, and wound care.
