The role

As an activities coordinator, you and a colleague provide a varied range of activities for our elderly clients. You devise, organize, and supervise activities and daily programming, both individually and in groups. In doing so, you look closely at what someone is still capable of, where their interests lie, and what they need in order to participate. For elderly people with psychiatric issues, it is often the small moments that can mean so much. A creative activity, moving together, playing a game, or simply making friendly contact for a moment. As an activities coordinator, you know how to enthusiastically and low-thresholdly encourage clients to participate. In this way, you contribute to a pleasant daily routine, the maintenance of skills, the increase of self-reliance, and the well-being of our clients. In addition to supervising activities, you also take care of announcing the range of activities. You think along about new activities and keep materials and stock in order. We are looking for an activities coordinator for 24 to 32 hours per week.

Your workplace

The BW+ is a protected residential setting in Bussum that is easily accessible by public transport. We offer guidance and support to 26 residents aged approximately 70 years and older. The residents have a psychiatric background; some have a limited somatic care need. You will work within a dedicated and experienced team of approximately 25 employees consisting of (coordinating) supervisors, assisting supervisors, household supporters, and activity supervisors. Together, we ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the group where everyone can be themselves.

Temporarily based in Blaricum
Lorentzweg is temporarily located in the former Tergooi hospital in Blaricum (this location is also easy to reach and is located next to the highway). Our own building is being fully and modernly renovated. As soon as the renovation is complete, we will return to our renewed location at Lorentzweg.
