Residential Support Worker in the Netherlands

In your role as a residential support worker, you are the stable factor in the lives of clients. You offer structure, safety, and trust, so that they can develop at their own pace. As a residential support worker, you work from the support plan drawn up together with the client, and translate this into daily support that truly aligns with their needs. You identify changes, respond to them, and offer practical help where necessary, from cooking together to creating a tidy living environment. You build a bond of trust, in which there is room for a laugh, a tear, and everything in between. As a residential support worker, you also contribute to reporting and consult with colleagues to continuously improve care. Your work is about proximity, attention, and strengthening self-direction.

At the residential location in Bodegraven, support is provided to 24 clients aged 18 and over with a psychiatric background. The location is situated in the center. This offers many opportunities to undertake an activity together. The office is located at the residential facility, making it easy for residents to find us. At the residential facility, colleagues are always present whom you can turn to. Additionally, you will work in the outpatient team in the municipality of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk. Within this team, 24 clients are supported, with various ages and support needs. Your caseload will consist of cases with different support needs. In this position, you will work closely with other organizations.

• Has an MBO diploma, such as Personal Support Worker for Specific Target Groups.

• Has experience or a strong affinity with mental healthcare.

• Quickly oversees situations and makes thoughtful choices based on them.

• Communicates clearly with clients, colleagues, and chain partners, even when interests diverge.

• A good salary between €2,888 and €3,917 based on 36 hours (CAO GGZ, FWG 40).

• Your first contract is a temporary contract. If we are happy with each other, your next contract will be a permanent contract.

The procedure consists of 2 interviews; the 1st interview is with the recruiter and the 2nd interview takes place on location with 1 or 2 colleagues and a client.
