Inspector Lifting and Hoisting Equipment

SGS Industrial Nederland is engaged in various technical inspections of industrial equipment. The Statutory Services department is involved in inspections of, among others, aerial work platforms, cranes, telehandlers, and earthmoving equipment. Working at SGS Industrial Nederland means working in a fast-growing, independently oriented department with an ambitious team. SGS Industrial Nederland is a division with a total of 200 employees, spread across various departments. Our department consists of a team of 10 employees and is looking for an enthusiastic, fun colleague to join and strengthen the team. 

Do you have experience as a Lifting and Hoisting Equipment Inspector, then we are looking for you!

As an Inspector Lifting and Hoisting Equipment, you are responsible for inspecting materials at client sites. All of this is done according to prescribed inspection methodologies. You ensure the verification of inspection certificates and maintain these neatly in your documentation. You perform these inspections, for example, in the Port of Rotterdam but also throughout the Netherlands. You inspect, among others, aerial work platforms, forklifts, telehandlers, and mobile cranes. You also inspect large and small container cranes, but also, for example, spreaders, straddle carriers, and automated stacker cranes. You do this independently, but also as part of a team.

SGS also provides training and further education. Naturally, a company / lease car will be made available.

As an Inspector Lifting and Hoisting Equipment, you will be involved in:

• Performing inspections at clients throughout the Netherlands;
• Elaborating inspection results into a report;
• Checking inspection certificates for accuracy;
• Maintaining contact with the Technical Manager regarding findings;
• Helping to develop the department together with your colleagues;
• You conduct yourself representatively and are also alert to new potential customers.

You are our ideal candidate if you possess the following:

• At least MBO work/thinking level
• Professionally related work experience with machines, vehicles and/or lifting and hoisting equipment,
• Good oral and written command of the Dutch language;
• You possess a driving license B;
• Knowledge of standards, laws, and regulations regarding lifting and hoisting equipment is a plus, but not a requirement,
