- Knowledge of customs legislation, compliance, and import/export processes;
- Experience with trade, logistics, or customs processes;
Languages
- Good command of Dutch and English; German is a plus.

The role
Are you a legal expert with knowledge of customs legislation and a natural leader? Do you enjoy translating complex laws and regulations into practical solutions for the business? Then this is your chance to play a key role at SGS Maco Customs Service.
What you'll do
Your role
You ensure compliance with customs legislation, monitor quality and compliance, and translate complex laws and regulations into practical solutions. You will lead the Quality & Compliance team of 3 FTE and work together with colleagues, management, and SGS Legal Benelux.
You are a true working foreman/woman: a leader who stays close to the team and, when the situation calls for it, actively participates in the daily activities.
Your responsibilities:
- Following and translating national and international customs laws and regulations
- Monitoring compliance, quality, and AEO-related standards
- Advising on risks, legislation, and strategic issues
- Improving processes, procedures, and systems
- Developing and maintaining compliance instructions
- Preparing and guiding audits
- Handling claims and legal customs issues
