As an E&I Technician, you think in a solution-oriented manner and are decisive. Additionally:
At least an MBO 4 education in the direction of MBO electrotechnics or Measurement and Control Technology or equivalent. You are a certified person in charge of work on LS/HS installations in accordance with NEN 3140/3840.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in maintenance service, preferably gained in the energy sector.
Safety-conscious
Fluent in speaking and writing Dutch and English
In possession of a VCA certificate
Pre is min 3 years of work experience in electrical installations as a Person in Charge of Work according to NEN 3140/3840
As Maintenance Technician E&I, you are responsible for performing or having performed corrective, periodic, and preventive maintenance of the installations. The focus of your job lies on the preparation, checking, and supervision of maintenance activities. You work closely with Operations regarding the analysis and resolution of malfunctions. You resolve malfunctions based on a received report or your own observations. In the event of various malfunctions, it is important to set your priorities so that the impact on the installation is minimized. You ensure that there is good communication with the production department regarding electrical and instrumentation matters. You are flexible and willing to participate in the call-out system.
Preparing, planning, and performing or supervising all occurring E&I activities.
Preparing and coordinating shutdown activities (TAR)
Supervision of contractors, ensuring the quality of the services/activities provided
Preventive and corrective maintenance on electrotechnical and instrumentation equipment
Locating and analyzing malfunctions and proposing solutions in conjunction with operations
Reporting maintenance tasks to the Maintenance manager and in CMMS (Maintenance system),
Preparing the procurement of materials and services; drafting technical specifications for this; preparing requests for quotations; and advising the maintenance manager in this regard
As a person in charge of work, you report to the installation responsible person.
You are responsible for the safe execution, guidance, and re-energization of the electrotechnical installation during work activities.
Part of this is creating switching plans.
You are safety-conscious and communicate this to colleagues and contractors
Outside of regular working hours, you are expected to participate in the call-out system
The E&I Technician works in day shifts and has a call-out duty. Communication takes place in Dutch and English. Installation responsibility (IV) in accordance with NEN 3140/3840 is assigned as a personal responsibility to one E&I Maintenance Technician.
Air Liquide Industrie B.V. is part of Air Liquide Benelux and is a leader in the field of gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare. The supply of industrial gases takes place via 2250 km of special underground pipelines from Bergen (Belgium) to Rotterdam. Large refineries are connected directly to it. Approximately 400 employees work in the Netherlands.
The position is situated within the Maintenance department in Pernis. The area of operation concerns the production of steam, electricity, demineralized water, boiler feedwater, hot water, and instrument air. Approximately 35 employees work at the plant. To this end, the operations team operates the (cogeneration) installations of Pergen v.o.f., which are composed of the following main components: gas turbines, steam turbines, instrument air compressors, steam boilers, and pumps.
Very unique is the so-called split boiler concept, in which each gas turbine is coupled to two steam boilers, which enormously increases the flexibility but also the complexity of the operation. The installations are highly automated and are controlled and monitored by the operators from the central control room. The process control consists of various (DCS) systems. The electrical installation consists of an extensive and complex high- and low-voltage network.
The Maintenance department in Pernis consists of the maintenance manager, 2 maintenance engineers, 4 E&I technicians, 1 process control technician, and 3 mechanical technicians.
