Environmental Project Leader

Do you have several years of experience as a project leader within environmental soil research and are you ready for a new challenge? Then this position might be for you.

At SGS Search, we work daily on environmental issues in the field of soil research and soil remediation. Our clients rely on independent research, clear advice, and practical solutions that comply with current laws and regulations.

As Environmental Project Leader, you are the connecting link between the client, colleagues in the office and the field, and the execution of the project. You ensure that projects are well-prepared, run smoothly, and are substantively correct. In doing so, you maintain an overview, adjust where necessary, and think along about the best solution for the client.

No two days are the same

Within the team, you will take on projects independently. You direct colleagues within your projects and are responsible for the full management of the assignments that fall under your responsibility. You will receive a lot of freedom to take initiative and further develop yourself. Do you love variety, responsibility, and getting things done? Then you have come to the right place at SGS Search.

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

  • Maintaining contact with clients
  • Writing and following up on quotes
  • Directing and supervising projects
  • Having various types of soil research carried out or substantively assessed
  • Monitoring planning, quality, costs, and project administration
  • Handling invoicing and correct project completion
  • Supervising junior project leaders, project employees, and field employees
  • Acting as a sparring partner and point of contact for colleagues

Will you take on this challenge?

To be successful as an Environmental Project Leader, you have completed an MBO or HBO education in an environmental field. You also have several years of experience in supervising soil research and soil remediations.

Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • You are customer-oriented and take responsibility
  • You think along with clients and see opportunities to help them further
  • You think in solutions and know how to involve colleagues in a positive way
  • You work carefully and maintain a good overview
  • You can switch well between different projects and interests
  • You remain calm and practical in dynamic situations

Are you someone who loves taking responsibility and keeping a cool head? Then we would love to talk to you.

Those are some great prospects

Count on a dynamic working environment, enthusiastic colleagues, and plenty of room to further develop yourself. Working at SGS Search comes with many advantages, also regarding employment conditions:

  • A salary between €4,500 and €6,000 gross per month, depending on age, education, and experience

In their own words

About the company & team

From day one, you will become part of our Environmental Research team. This team is part of the Built Environment business unit and works from Heeswijk on projects throughout the Netherlands. Within the team, approximately 15 specialists and researchers work in both the office and the field. Together, they are involved in conducting soil research and supervising soil remediations. This varies from simple, short-term projects to long-term and phased investigations and remediations.

As part of SGS, you will also have the opportunity to further broaden your knowledge. Think, for example, of topics such as eDNA, biodiversity, and other environmental issues within the broader organization. In this way, you not only work on your own projects but also continue to develop yourself substantively within an international organization with a wealth of specialist knowledge. Our goal, and soon yours too, is to find the best solution for the challenges of our clients.
