The SGS Hoogvliet location is part of the Industries & Environment business line and is an important component that contributes to a cleaner living environment in particular. Here at the lab, we perform a large number of tests daily on soil, water, and air samples. Think of analyses for the presence of PFAS, asbestos, pesticide, oil or metal, etc.

• Acceptance; the pre-processing (quartering) of samples delivered in buckets of between 10 - 15 kilos.
• Sampling; dividing samples into different/correct packaging so that the sample ends up in the right place.
• Pre-processing; the grinding of dry and field-moist samples.
• Internal distribution; ensuring that the samples arrive at the correct department.
• Order picking; retrieving the samples from the cold storage based on work lists.
• Cold storage management; the storage, linking to the location in connection with traceability, and the removal of samples.
