What we're looking for

  • An education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field, or relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to work independently, but also to function well within a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and an eye for quality.
  • A good understanding of both hardware and software.
  • Good command of the English and/or Dutch language.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

  • A gross monthly salary between €3,200 and €4,550, depending on experience.
  • A full-time position (40 hours per week) with overtime and shift allowances.
  • 40 leave days per year (27 vacation days + 13 ADV days).
  • Employment conditions according to the Metalelektro collective labor agreement

What you'll do

We are looking for an Electrical Fitter who enjoys working with technology and solving technical faults. In this role, you will work on the maintenance and repair of electric locomotives. You will be involved in troubleshooting and resolving faults, performing repairs, and replacing components. Additionally, you will work with specialized techniques such as shrinking and torquing. Do you not have experience with this yet? No problem, we offer internal training for this.

Your role, your impact

  • Performing maintenance and inspections on onboard systems.
  • Troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving technical faults on onboard equipment and control systems.
  • Replacing, configuring, and programming components, including adjusting parameters.
  • Collaborating closely with customer teams and internal colleagues on-site to carry out tasks efficiently.
  • Carefully documenting performed work, including technical reports, test results, and maintenance records.
  • Assessing the condition and performance of systems and performing necessary adjustments and improvements to increase reliability and safety.
