Make a difference every day for people with acquired brain injury
Are you a Nurse IG who looks beyond just the care requirements? Are you looking for a workplace where no two days are the same and where your creativity, empathy, and initiative are just as important as your professional knowledge? Then we would love to meet you!
As a Residential Care Guide, you are responsible for both the care and the guidance of our residents. You:
Provide ADL care and nursing technical procedures appropriate to your position
Guide residents in their daily lives and stimulate as much self-direction as possible
Think along about meaningful daily activities that align with the interests and possibilities of the resident
Work from the empathic-directive approach
Respond creatively to unexpected situations; no day follows a standard playbook
Work closely with colleagues, practitioners, and family
At Nolenshaghe, part of Saffier, people with acquired brain injury (ABI) live. Brain injury can happen to anyone, young or old. For our residents, this often means a profound change: a life before and a life after the brain injury.
Together with colleagues, you help residents reshape their lives. Not only by providing good care, but especially by looking at who someone is, what someone finds important, and what makes someone happy.
Because sometimes the biggest difference lies in a small moment.
What makes us special is that residents can continue to live with us, even when their care needs change or increase.
We offer small-scale care in a homely environment, in which personal attention is central. We delve into the story behind every resident. What hobbies did someone have? What made someone happy? How can we make that possible again today?
A beautiful example? One of our residents is a huge train enthusiast. Together, we ensured that he has his own model railway.
"Together we make it possible" is our motto for a reason.
