Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) are offered at the Neuromodulation department. As a Recovery Nurse, you will focus on the pre- and postoperative care surrounding the ECT treatment. You will work in a small and ambitious team, consisting of anesthesiologists, anesthesia technicians, recovery nurses, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and psychiatric-trained nurses. The fun part of working on our ECT department is that you are committed to Top-GGZ, which means you are part of a department where important research is taking place into new solutions within psychiatry.
The patients treated here struggle with severe psychiatric disorders, such as treatment-resistant depression, psychosis, and malignant catatonia. Often there are additional physical conditions and a higher age, which makes the care complex. Your expertise and involvement make a great difference for these patients.
With #Geestverwanten let's see who we really are: people who take care deadly seriously, but don't always make themselves happy. Especially now that the care sector is working hard, we are looking for colleagues who understand that laughing is at least as important as listening.
