Requirements

What we're looking for

  • You have a relevant degree at HBO or WO level.

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within healthcare.

  • You have knowledge of housing, real estate, and relevant laws and regulations.

  • You are result-oriented and proactive.

  • You are a strong and persuasive communicator and know how to address people regarding behavior and responsibilities.

  • You have a good sense of organizational relationships and possess excellent analytical skills.

  • You can oversee various interests and know how to translate them into clear advice or concrete proposals.

  • You are able to tackle issues independently while simultaneously collaborating well with internal and external parties.

The role

As a Facilities & Housing Advisor, you ensure that our buildings and housing align with the needs of clients, employees, and the organization. You combine your knowledge of real estate and housing with a sharp eye for policy, maintenance, sustainability, and future developments.

You advise on diverse housing issues and contribute ideas to the development of our real estate portfolio. In doing so, you move easily between strategic issues and practical execution.

What you'll do

As a Facilities & Housing Advisor, you are an important interlocutor within the organization. You advise the Director of Facilities & Housing and other stakeholders on housing issues and collaborate on the development and implementation of the strategic real estate plan.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Direct the Multi-Year Maintenance Plan (MJOP), including annual changes, triennial updates, and the translation of maintenance plans into maintenance budgets.

  • Collect and assess initiatives for building adjustments, map out financial consequences, and prepare investment and decision-making proposals.

  • Support the development and implementation of the strategic real estate plan and assist with business cases for renovation, redevelopment, expansion, and sustainability projects. Test building adjustments and housing requirements against strategic real estate policy, safety, technology, functionality, and sustainability.

  • Develop, update, and manage real estate frameworks and basic documents, including programs of requirements, basic specifications, housing manuals, and contract and policy documents.

  • Advise on rental and leasing issues, demarcations, maintenance responsibilities, and service provision.

  • Identify and translate developments in the field of sustainability, as well as laws and regulations, into policy, execution, and reporting, including the information obligation, EED reporting, and the CO₂ roadmap.

Additionally, you work together with internal and external parties, such as suppliers and advisors. You know how to bring different interests together and ensure that plans actually lead to results.

About Facilities & Housing

  • Together with approximately 100 colleagues from the Facilities & Housing department, you provide supportive services to the care process at the GGZ inGeest locations. The service provision is broad and includes, among other things, procurement, real estate management, reception, cleaning, and maintenance.

  • You work within a real estate team with three real estate management project leaders. From your role, you work closely with colleagues within Facilities & Housing, healthcare, and other parts of the organization.

  • GGZ inGeest has approximately 2,000 employees and offers mental health care from locations in Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Bennebroek, Haarlem, and Hoofddorp. This means you work in an organization where housing directly contributes to a good environment for clients and employees.
