The role

Do you want to have a direct influence on our construction projects with your market knowledge and commercial insight? As a buyer at Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Hengelo, you will work together with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and partners on successful and sustainable projects. In doing so, you look beyond just price. Quality, reliability, capacity, collaboration, and innovation are at least as important.

This will be your job

As a buyer, you are involved in our projects from the development and tender phase through to execution, delivery, and aftercare. You know the market, know what is happening with suppliers and subcontractors, and translate this knowledge into smart choices for our projects.

As a buyer, you have a coordinating role in improvement processes that are undertaken with partners and you act as a contract manager for project-specific and cross-project agreements. Together with the project manager, you ensure that capacity on our projects is guaranteed. You are able to both maintain and expand relationships with our partners as well as achieve concrete results, thereby making an important contribution to our projects. In this role, you are continuously improving processes for the benefit of the supply chain, both internally and externally.

You have an innovative and critical eye which you use to concretize the annual objectives for the Procurement department, and you play an important role in achieving these objectives. You have experience in procurement and preferably work within the broad construction chain, for example at a construction company or a large installer. You are a true team player and a strong interlocutor for internal and external relations. We are especially looking for someone who understands the market, has a strong presence at the table, and easily connects with both colleagues and external partners.

As a buyer, you are not alone. You are part of a national team of buyers and work together on the further development of procurement within Dura Vermeer. You share knowledge and experiences, jointly exploit opportunities in the market, and work on strong relationships with our partners. From Hengelo, you translate this into the daily practice of our projects.

About Dura Vermeer

In their own words

About the company & team

Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, how we look out for one another, and how we build with an eye on future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, non-residential construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the foundation for this.

With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we belong to the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, for us, it is not about those figures. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of - iconic and close to home - and contributing to solutions for societal issues.

Our ambitions are great. And we only achieve them with engaged people. That is why we invest in good employerhood and a working environment in which you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe, and speak up. So that you get the best out of yourself and, together with us, make more.

We are Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Hengelo, a developing builder in the working area of the North, East, and Central Netherlands. As part of the Construction & Real Estate division, we combine the strength of a large company with the pleasant atmosphere and culture of a smaller organization.

With us, you will find real doers and achievers. We develop and build, together with our customers, partners, and colleagues. What makes us who we are? Just doing it. It's simply in our nature, and you see it reflected in everything we do.

Do you want to work in a place where craftsmanship, collaboration, and a lot of fun come together? Great! We are looking for new colleagues within our disciplines of development, residential construction, utility construction, renovation & transformation, and management & operation.
