Facilities Buyer

• HBO working and thinking level. Preferably supplemented with Nevi 1, or another relevant, similar procurement training;
• 3 to 5 years of work experience as a (facilities) buyer / buyer or facilities employee with extensive procurement experience;

• You know how to negotiate critically for the business, but with an eye on relationship maintenance;
• You are organizationally strong and enjoy maintaining an overview, coordinating activities, and providing structure;
• You are proactive, resourceful, and possess strong communication skills. You identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, take ownership, and turn these into practical solutions.

Our organization is continuously developing. With a large number of stores, distribution centers, and various departments, a good facilities organization is essential. The facilities department consists of 3 colleagues (including you) and is responsible for, among other things: the management of all properties, fleet management, procurement of all facilities goods/services, and the sustainability policy within the organization. To further professionalize our facilities procurement, we are looking for a Facilities Buyer.

As a Facilities Buyer, you are responsible for the procurement of all non-trade goods and facilities services. Because this is a new position, you will have the opportunity from the start to help build the design of the procurement process and the associated working methods. Additionally, you will fulfill a coordinating role within the facilities team. You are the driving force of the department when it comes to tackling, organizing, and realizing facilities issues. In addition to your procurement activities, you actively participate within the facilities team and take on various facilities and administrative tasks that contribute to a smoothly running organization.

• Because this concerns a new position, from the start you will focus primarily on designing the procurement process and associated processes in consultation with the Finance department and the Director of Procurement & Property Management;
• You fulfill a coordinating role within the Facilities Service department. You maintain an overview of the ongoing activities, set priorities, and ensure that facilities issues are tackled proactively together with your colleagues;
• In addition to executing the procurement process, you continuously optimize the procurement processes and procedures to guarantee efficiency. You minimize procurement outside of contracts and processes and ensure that the correct working methods and procedures are maintained:
• The procurement of all necessary products, materials, and services of non-trade goods, such as: procurement of consumables and facilities matters such as installers, energy supply, leasing, office supplies, printing, and security. You ensure that there is a good balance between quality, cost, and availability.
  The facilities employees will support you in this.
• From your role as a buyer, you also maintain relationships with suppliers, carry out supplier assessments, and ensure, together with the requesters in the department and the Finance department, correct administration and data entry in the systems.
• Managing the fleet of passenger and commercial vehicles, maintaining contacts with the leasing company and the drivers, and processing the necessary administration in consultation with the Transport, Finance, and HR departments.
• In addition to your procurement activities, you support the daily facilities operation. You like to roll up your sleeves, process facilities reports and tickets, coordinate their follow-up, and support various facilities and administrative tasks. In this way, together with your colleagues, you ensure that everything runs smoothly.
