Construction Procurement Specialist

To expand Veluwezoom Verkerk in Zevenaar, we are looking for a Construction Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with our buyer Marco, and together you will ensure that our procurement processes run optimally.

As a Construction Procurement Specialist, you are the link that ensures materials, services, and partners align precisely with what our projects require. You translate the wishes of project teams into smart procurement strategies, manage project procurement, and work on strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

As a Construction Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for the actual procurement, from shell construction to installations. Additionally, you are involved in selecting, evaluating, and contracting suppliers and subcontractors.

As a buyer, you truly become part of the project team. From the start, the project team makes choices together that contribute to the best result for the project. As a buyer, you also play an important role in this.

And furthermore:

• Evaluating quotes on technical aspects, quality, timeliness, completeness, and execution aspects;

• Seeking optimizations together with our construction partners and building and maintaining sustainable relationships;

• Negotiating prices, delivery times, terms, and contract agreements focused on collaboration;

• Conducting market research and analyzing procurement needs;

• Monitoring the performance and quality of suppliers;

• Contributing to national VolkerWessels framework contracts and chain collaborations;

• Thinking along about sustainable, future-oriented choices in projects.

You are a true self-starter: entrepreneurial, technically strong, and financially savvy. You are approachable and know how to convey your advice and findings in a convincing manner to your team, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Ideally, you have already gained internship or work experience as a buyer within residential construction.

In addition, you bring the following:

• A completed education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar. Preferably supplemented with a Nevi 1 qualification or the willingness to obtain this through us;

• Strong analytical skills, financial insight, and construction knowledge;

• Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;

• Availability between 32-40 hours per week.
