The role

Your Ambition
Do you want more responsibility in railway signaling? As a project preparer, you ensure that complex rail projects go onto the tracks with tight preparation. Larger projects, more influence, the next step.

What you'll do

For a project preparer at Dura Vermeer Railinfra, no two days are the same. The emphasis of your task package will lie particularly in organizing and controlling the processes that ensure the technicians can perform their work optimally. Within your role as a project preparer, you create the conditions for optimal execution. Without you, people cannot perform their work well on-site.

Projects you might consider at Dura Vermeer? For example, the High-Frequency Rail Program (PHS) Nijmegen project, a total metamorphosis of the station area, or the expansion of the Maasvlakte West yard from 18 to 36 tracks. A great diversity of projects. Together with you, we look for a project that suits you. You switch easily between tasks, themes, construction meetings, and supplier discussions. Within the project, you are the hub between design, execution, and commerce. You provide support on a technical, administrative, and organizational level. Furthermore, you handle the procurement and selection of subcontractors and draft the agreements. You do not find it a problem to be present on the tracks approximately once a month during a weekend possession.

You also have enough technical knowledge to answer all questions and are a solid sparring partner in that respect. You will be working in a diverse team, where successes are celebrated together. Your work comes with a lot of responsibility, but also an enormous amount of freedom!

As the person responsible for the technical preparation of the railway signaling/signaling sub-projects in a rail project, you are responsible for determining requirements, personnel, work plans, and schedules. You work together with the execution team to coordinate work methods and ensure coordination with subcontractors. You monitor the technical prerequisites and report on quality, safety, working conditions, and the environment. You also ensure coordination between different technical fields. Your goal is to ensure the project runs efficiently and on time.
