As a senior procurement specialist, you will play a key role in the realization of our complex and multidisciplinary projects through a strong procurement strategy.  From the tender phase to execution, you ensure that the right partners, materials, and contracts are available at the right time.

You are more than just a procurement specialist. You are a strategic sparring partner for project teams, build sustainable relationships with market players, and actively think along about the further development of procurement within BESIX Nederland.

As a senior procurement specialist, you are the driving force behind smart procurement decisions, strong supplier relationships, and sustainable value creation for Besix Nederland. Which responsibilities will you take on: 

• As a senior procurement specialist, you are involved in setting up the procurement process for large-scale works (+400mio).
• You are part of the project team and responsible for the entire procurement process.
• In addition, you provide functional direction and support to other Procurement Specialists on various ongoing projects.
• You combine operational decisiveness with strategic insight and ensure that projects are successfully prepared and executed.
• You make an active contribution to the further professionalization of the procurement department within Besix Nederland.  
• You are responsible for the central procurement process and its continuous improvement in accordance with developments in the fields of sustainability, safety, and other market innovations, and you translate these into opportunities for our projects.
• As a true connector, you seek the best partnerships within the market and maintain these relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other parties.
• By analyzing and comparing quotes, you ensure control and quality and safeguard the contractual agreements made within the systems.
• By initiating supplier assessments and supporting reviews and audits, you ensure that lessons learned are actively shared within our organization.

As a senior procurement specialist, you operate at the intersection of technology, commerce, and strategy and can therefore make a major contribution to the success of our projects. You describe yourself as someone who possesses strong negotiation skills, is entrepreneurial, and maintains an overview under all circumstances.
