Requirements

What we're looking for

  • A completed HBO or WO degree, preferably in supply chain
  • A few years of experience in procuring high-tech products or services
  • You possess commercial insight, are a persuasive negotiator, and have a hands-on mentality
  • You are persistent in achieving the optimal result
  • You have good analytical abilities: you work systematically, distinguish between main and secondary issues, and make a clear distinction between facts, causes, and consequences

Nice to have

  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages; knowledge of the German language is a plus

The role

What will you do?

Our procurement organization consists of a team of strategic, tactical, and operational buyers. Due to the growth of our activities, we are looking for a Strategic Buyer who will help further strengthen and professionalize our supply chain.

In this role, you will work on processes for both complex prototypes and stable small-series and volume production. Due to the continuous introduction of new products, your creativity, technical insight, stress resistance, and communication skills will be called upon.

What you'll do

You are the first point of contact within multiple multidisciplinary project teams and are responsible for:

  • (Co)drafting and executing the procurement plan
  • Initiating actions to reduce risks in the existing supply base
  • Expanding the supply base where necessary
  • Requesting and evaluating quotes together with tactical buyers
  • Negotiating price and delivery conditions
  • Drafting and realizing cost reduction proposals
  • Making (contractual) agreements with suppliers
