The role
Leading interesting projects around and in newly built or renovated train stations and infrastructure projects. That is your goal as a stations and infrastructure foreman at Dura Vermeer Railinfra. With beautiful projects throughout the Netherlands, you will lead a team of technicians and help build a stable, safe, and future-proof railway network and train stations.
What you'll do
A lot goes into building and renovating train and metro stations. From paving, platforms, and canopies to sanitary facilities, drainage, sewage, and of course all low, medium, and high-voltage installations. Naturally, you understand that safety on and around the station and the tracks comes above all else, so you strictly supervise that all projects are worked on adequately. Delivering fast and high-quality work. That is what matters to you. You work by the book, honor agreements, and keep an eye on the progress of the various projects. If necessary, you intervene, but usually, you have already arranged things perfectly well in advance. In addition to technical content, you are also responsible for the development and progress of the employees under your care. As a stations and infrastructure foreman at Dura Vermeer Railinfra, you will be busy with:
Leading, coaching, and assessing employees from your team.
Realizing contract and specification agreements.
The management and deployment of subcontractors and suppliers.
Advising and keeping all involved parties informed within a project.
More at Dura Vermeer
At Dura Vermeer Railinfra, you work with experienced professionals on large and challenging rail projects. A beautiful example is PHS Nijmegen. Here, we are building a second island platform with all associated facilities and a new platform canopy that matches the monumental character of the station. We are renewing and extending the passenger tunnel and creating a new, full-fledged station entrance on the west side.
We also adjust tracks and switches so that trains can arrive and depart faster and the timetable becomes more reliable. We are redesigning the stabling yard at Wolfskuil for the parking and cleaning of trains. At the same time, we are performing major maintenance on the monumental cast-iron platform canopies at Nijmegen station.
This is what we expect from you
Communication is one of the most important qualities you master as a stations and infrastructure foreman. You are regularly in contact with your own team, but also with involved parties within and outside Dura Vermeer Railinfra. You also know how to motivate a team, even from a distance, and you ensure that projects are completed on time. If necessary, you personally go to the project location to see with your own eyes whether everything is proceeding according to plan. The stations and infrastructure foreman leads various specialists. In any case, you have:
We have an eye for you
Our colleagues have given a high score to their general satisfaction regarding working at Dura Vermeer Railinfra Rail. And that is not without reason. Lots of freedom, therefore, and room for initiative and development. And of course, it is about your development as a specialist; we provide full support in that through training. Finally, safety is an important theme that receives a lot of attention, and our colleagues feel good about that.
Dura Vermeer is a large organization in which you can learn a lot and in which you have opportunities to shape your ambitions. In doing so, we attach great value to education, development, and personal initiative. We have good employment conditions according to the CAO Railinfrastructuur (RIS). Furthermore, we offer you:
