As a Field Specialist at BESIX Unitec NL, you will work on technical installations within infrastructure. Think of electrical engineering, E&I, PLC, and SCADA systems in complex infrastructural environments.

You ensure that installations continue to work, solve malfunctions that others cannot immediately figure out, and simultaneously look at how technology can be smarter, more reliable, and better.

As a Field Specialist, you are one of the technical experts within our projects and service organization. You are deployed when technical knowledge, analysis, and a practical solution are required.

In doing so, you look beyond just today's malfunction. Do you see that an installation can be smarter, safer, or more reliable? Then we specifically expect you to make that a topic of discussion.

That is where your expertise comes in handy.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• analyzing and solving complex technical malfunctions;
• working on E&I, electrical, PLC, and SCADA systems;
• investigating the source of a malfunction and ensuring a structural solution;
• improving and optimizing existing installations;
• advising customers on technical improvements;
• executing and supervising technical adjustments;
• recording malfunctions, activities, and solutions;
• collaborating with engineers, colleagues on location, customers, and other technical specialists.

BESIX Unitec works on technical infrastructure that keeps the Netherlands moving. Our projects are located, among other things, within tunnels, locks, and other complex infrastructural environments.

Various technologies come together there. Electrical engineering, control technology, automation, and communication must continuously work together.

We are primarily looking for someone who is technically strong and enjoys finding out for themselves how something works. Someone who remains calm when an installation fails, searches focusedly for the cause, and does not stop at a temporary solution.
