As a Contract Manager at BESIX Unitec, you will work on technically complex infrastructure projects in which contractual, technical, and commercial interests continuously converge. You hold a key position within the IPM team, advise on contractual issues, and ensure that changes and risks are identified in a timely manner and well-substantiated.

Therefore, you do not simply manage a contract. You influence both the course and the result of our projects.

As a Contract Manager, you are part of the IPM team and are closely involved in decision-making within the project. You monitor the agreements made, look ahead, and ensure that contractual changes are well-managed.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• monitoring the contract scope and identifying scope changes and contract risks;
• drafting and reviewing contract documents, letters, and substantiations directed to the client;
• supporting consultations with clients such as Rijkswaterstaat and contributing to a professional contractual relationship;
• following up on, analyzing, and processing requests for change (RFCs), including the impact on scope, planning, risks, and costs;
• advising the IPM team on contractual issues and decision-making;
• guiding and managing contract changes during various phases of a project;
• safeguarding the contractual and commercial interests of BESIX Unitec;
• collaborating and negotiating with clients and other involved parties.

In doing so, you look beyond what is literally stated in the contract. What does a change mean for the project? What risks arise? Which agreements must be recorded? And how do you ensure that both BESIX Unitec and the client know where they stand?

That is where we expect your expertise.

BESIX Unitec works on technical infrastructure that keeps the Netherlands moving. Think of tunnels, technical installations, energy and data networks, and other complex infrastructural environments.

In this role, you can work on projects for public clients such as Rijkswaterstaat, ProRail, and provinces, and collaborate with various civil and technical parties.

Within these projects, technology, contracts, and various interests converge. Scope changes, clients pose new questions, and choices can have major consequences for planning, risks, costs, and results.

As a Contract Manager, you hold a key position within the IPM team. You work together with, among others, project management, technical specialists, commercial colleagues, and the client.

We are looking for a Contract Manager who feels comfortable in an environment where various interests converge. Someone who is analytically strong, looks ahead, and stands firm enough to provide advice and take a position without losing sight of the collaboration.
