Senior Strategic Buyer

Do you want to be at the helm of strategic procurement issues and truly help Baker Tilly move forward? As a Senior Strategic Buyer, you will help determine the course of our procurement policy, provide direction to strategic projects, and know how to successfully bring stakeholders along in change.

You will be part of the Procurement & Facility team, which is managed by the Manager Procurement & Facility. Together with two Facility Supervisors and two Facility Assistants, you form a close-knit and ambitious team. Due to the further growth and professionalization of our organization, we are expanding the team with a Senior Strategic Buyer.

You are a strong interlocutor for management, board, and internal stakeholders. Thanks to your strategic insight, persuasiveness, and organizational sensitivity, you create support for changes and know how to effectively bring diverse interests together. You actively build relationships within the organization and make visible how professional procurement management contributes to better decision-making, risk management, and value creation.

You deal with strategic and complex issues on topics such as housing, IT, facility services, sustainability, and make-or-buy questions. As a strategic sparring partner, you translate market developments, risks, and organizational objectives into smart and actionable procurement solutions. In doing so, you steer towards maximum value creation, cost control, quality, continuity, risk management, and contractual flexibility. With strategic suppliers, you build sustainable collaborative relationships that contribute to the long-term ambitions of the organization.

Your responsibilities:

• Procurement Policy: You develop and implement future-proof procurement policies, working methods, and protocols in which sustainability is a fixed pillar. You align the national procurement policy with stakeholders, translate policy into concrete processes, and monitor compliance within the organization.

• Contract and Supplier Management: You develop, manage, and optimize contracts with national suppliers in close cooperation with Legal, Finance, and substantive stakeholders. You steer on quality, costs, terms, performance, risks, and continuity, and ensure that agreements are met.

• Reporting and Steering: You analyze KPIs, contract performance, market developments, and financial results. Based on your insights, you identify opportunities and risks, initiate improvements, and advise the Manager Procurement & Facility.

• Project and Tender Management: You lead multiple strategic procurement and tender processes simultaneously. From analysis and strategy development to contracting, implementation, and evaluation: you take charge and ensure successful execution.

• Stakeholder Management: You create support for the further centralization and professionalization of procurement. You connect stakeholders, weigh diverse interests, and make visible what value professional procurement management adds. In doing so, you are regularly present at our various locations.

• Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably supplemented with a NEVI-1 diploma.

• 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience as a buyer, with a strong focus on contract management.

• Experienced in leading multiple projects simultaneously, while always maintaining an overview and guarding strategic goals.

• Possess excellent communication skills and effortlessly adapt your style to different levels within the organization.

• Combines clear communication with a persuasive and result-oriented approach.
