Tactical Buyer in the Netherlands

The role

As a Tactical Buyer, you are not only responsible for the procurement of components for our battery systems. But you also actively participate in the energy transition from fossil fuels to other forms of energy generation. You contribute to the delivery of systems, solutions, and services focused on the generation, transport, and use of energy. You operate at the intersection of engineering, commerce, and supplier management. In doing so, you look beyond just the daily procurement needs: you think along about the optimal supplier strategy and continuously seek improvements within the supply chain. You will join a growing organization where the procurement department is being further expanded. Currently, tactical procurement is handled by one colleague, and therefore we are looking for reinforcement from someone who can operate independently, but also enjoys collaborating and offering support where needed.

• Selecting, assessing, and developing suppliers;
• Negotiating price, quality, and delivery agreements;
• Drafting, managing, and monitoring supplier contracts;
• Identifying risks and opportunities within the supply chain;
• Developing and implementing tactical procurement strategies;
• Intensively collaborating with internal stakeholders within engineering, operations, and project teams;
• Contributing to the further professionalization of the procurement process.

Your strength

You are analytically strong, maintain an overview, and know how to get suppliers moving. Additionally, you dare to make choices and feel at home in a technical environment.
