Your role as a Behavioral Specialist at Bartiméus in Doorn and Zeist
You love your profession. In all its facets. From unraveling the question behind a client's behavior to advising on clinical care policy. You get energy from seeing all the puzzle pieces fall into place and the entire client system functioning optimally. So that your clients can live their best lives. You do this together with a treatment team consisting of Team Leader(s), Counselors C, and (para)medics within our residential care for adults and the elderly with a visual and multiple disability at the Doorn and Zeist locations. As a Behavioral Specialist, you are, together with the Physician for Intellectual Disabilities (AVG), the primary practitioner for the client. You can also always rely on your colleagues from the professional group. A pleasant group of about 15 Behavioral Specialists who take initiative based on trust and set priorities together. Your responsibilities include, among other things:
Performing psychodiagnostic research and, in some cases, conducting individual treatment.
Advising and guiding the client system.
Offering practice-oriented expertise development, for example by providing psycho-education to counselors.
Contributing to scientific research and innovation. Among other things, by further developing and implementing our ways of working, insights, and methodologies such as the LACCS program.
Providing advice and acting as a knowledge partner for all stakeholders, both within and outside Bartiméus.
