Senior BIM Coordinator

As a BIM Coordinator at WSP, you play a key role in the successful realization of multidisciplinary projects. You are responsible for the coordination of the BIM process and monitor the collaboration between internal and external disciplines. In doing so, you ensure that project information is available in a structured, up-to-date, and reliable manner for all stakeholders.

You connect architecture, structural engineering, and installations, monitor the quality of models and processes, and contribute together with designers, engineers, and project managers to integral and technically high-quality designs. Additionally, you make an important contribution to the further professionalization of BIM and information management within projects and the organization.

Your duties include, among other things:

• Coordinating BIM activities between architecture, structural engineering, and installations;

• Monitoring the quality, structure, and reliability of model and project information;

• Drafting, implementing, and managing BIM protocols, standards, and working agreements;

• Aligning with clients, advisors, and other external parties to ensure integrated and consistent models;

• Supporting and guiding modelers and engineers in the development of 3D models;

• Identifying bottlenecks within projects and actively proposing improvements;

• Stimulating knowledge sharing and further development of BIM processes within the organization.

You will become part of the Building Advisory team. Within this multidisciplinary team, you will work together with specialists in the fields of architecture, structural engineering, and installation technology on challenging new construction, renovation, and sustainability projects.

A great example of this is Amsteloever in Amsterdam: a sustainable area development with approximately 370 homes, in which a hybrid wood-concrete construction, smart design choices, and BIM come together. Within this project, BIM forms the digital backbone for collaboration, model coordination, clash detection, and reliable information management. In this role, you are the connecting link between disciplines, people, and information. You maintain an overview, communicate easily with various stakeholders, and know how to organize and improve BIM processes in a pragmatic way.

You combine technical knowledge with organizational insight and have a sharp eye for both detail and cohesion.

In addition, you possess:

• A completed HBO or TU degree in Architecture, Installation Technology, Structural Engineering, or a similar field;

• Experience within BIM projects, preferably in a coordinating role;

• Experience with Revit and other relevant BIM tools;

• Knowledge of BIM processes, information management, and multidisciplinary collaboration;

• Experience with the alignment of architectural, structural, and installation technology models;

• An excellent command of the Dutch language and a good command of English.
