Do you have experience with civil projects and would you like to work on international projects? Do you enjoy visiting these locations briefly about 3x per year?

Within Damen, we have a civil engineering department where we specialize in the design and realization of (mostly international) projects such as:

• Complete Shipyards

• Quay walls and jetties

• Foundations

• Project development

The projects are characterized by the often remote location of the project.

We are looking for a BIM Modeller/ Design & Proposal Engineer with a strong technical foundation and commercial feeling. Someone who not only designs, but also sees opportunities, understands (international) customers, and knows how to translate projects into winning proposals.

As a BIM Modeller, you are a pivot between technology and commerce. You are responsible for the design and the technical substantiation of quotes for both large and small maritime and civil projects. Occasionally, you will travel abroad.

• Designing and calculating civil (maritime) structures
• Conducting market research (e.g., how large are the sailing ships in the region and how large must the shipyard be at minimum/maximum)

• You will contribute to project booklets, which are used by Sales as a visual presentation to the customer.

• Drafting technical concepts and translating them into feasible solutions
• Intensive collaboration with sales, engineering, and project teams
• Technical sparring partner for customers and internal stakeholders
• Thinking along about innovative and efficient solutions within projects

• A completed HBO or WO degree in civil engineering, architecture, or similar
• Proficient in drawing with Revit or comparable BIM software.
• Commercial insight and the ability to translate technology into customer value
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Independence and ownership: you take charge and see it through
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages
