BIM Coordinator

• Do you possess a HBO or WO degree in the direction of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Technical Business Administration, or another relevant technical education;
• Do you preferably have experience as a BIM modeller or BIM coordinator within multidisciplinary infra projects; have you just graduated? Even then, this position is an excellent fit!
• Do you ideally have experience with projects in road construction, rail, civil concrete construction, or underground infra;
• Do you communicate easily with designers, contractors, and clients and do you act proactively to safeguard the quality of the BIM process.

A BIM coordinator at Strukton plays an essential role in digitally controlling and shaping our multidisciplinary projects. You ensure that all BIM models and associated information are complete, up-to-date, and reliable, so that the project team always has access to the correct data. Together with designers, work preparers, and project managers, you coordinate designs with one another and monitor the quality and consistency of the digital model.

You set up BIM processes, draft BIM execution plans, and ensure that the model meets the requirements of both Strukton and the client. In doing so, you make use of systems such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Synchro. You perform clash detections, prepare multidisciplinary design meetings, and visualize design variants to facilitate optimal choices.

Additionally, you provide structure to the information flows within projects by steering towards model agreements, data standards, and object type libraries. You create overview by setting up dashboards and clear reports, so that team members can make decisions based on reliable information.

In your role, you are not only involved technically in content, but you also advise at a strategic level. You report findings to the project manager and the core team, identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements. You ensure that the BIM process aligns with Systems Engineering, risk management, and project control, so that the total project process remains predictable and manageable.

As a BIM coordinator, you are analytically strong, communicatively skilled, and technically proficient. You have a good eye for detail, but at the same time know how to maintain the overview. You are proficient in systems such as ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud), Revit,  Navisworks, Synchro, and Civil3D. Experience with Relatics and document management and quality systems is a plus. You ensure that the BIM process runs smoothly and that all information within the project is correct, aligns, and is usable.
