IT Buyer

• Salary between € 4,900 and € 6,300 gross per month (based on 40 hours), depending on knowledge and experience

As an IT Buyer within VolkerWessels Infra IT, you are responsible for the procurement of IT products and IT services that are essential to our organization. You ensure that suppliers, contracts, and licenses align optimally with the needs of our IT organization and the operating companies within the Infrastructure division, including KWS, VolkerRail, Van Hattum en Blankevoort, and Vialis, which we support.

You are the connecting link between internal stakeholders, suppliers, and IT specialists. In doing so, you monitor not only the quality and continuity of service, but also costs, risks, and contractual agreements. You closely follow market developments and translate these into opportunities for our organization. Through your commercial insight, analytical ability, and persuasiveness, you contribute to a future-proof IT landscape for thousands of users within the Infrastructure division.

• Developing and executing IT procurement strategies

• Advising management and stakeholders on market developments and contract types

• Guiding procurement processes, requests for quotation, tenders (RFPs), and supplier selections from request to delivery

• Negotiating price agreements, contract terms, and service delivery

• Drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, SLAs, and license agreements

• Maintaining and further developing relationships with suppliers

• Evaluating supplier performance based on KPIs and SLAs

• Monitoring contract terms and agreements made

• Identifying cost savings and optimization opportunities

• Assessing suppliers on information security, privacy, continuity, and contractual risks, and overseeing compliance with relevant laws and regulations

• Supporting audits, controls, and internal reporting
