The role

As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for daily material availability and security of supply. During daily stand-ups, priorities are made visible and translated into concrete actions towards suppliers. Your focus lies on placing and monitoring purchase orders, following up on delivery dates, identifying deviations, and resolving material shortages. Where necessary, you escalate risks in a timely manner.

In short, you are the 'intelligent chip' that connects all kinds of functions together.

Your strength

By working closely with various stakeholders within the organization, you form the link between operational purchasing activities and tactical supplier management. Your duties also consist of:

• You manage all requirements of the production process for purchasing. You are also co-responsible for achieving the purchasing objectives;
• Maintaining system data for the benefit of the purchasing process;
• Maintaining the master data of own suppliers;
• You are responsible for the timely acquisition of the necessary components, raw materials, and outsourced work for the benefit of production;
• Contact with suppliers and clients.
