Machining Team Leader

The role

As Machining Team Leader, you will lead approximately 13 employees. The team consists of experienced CNC Millers and Turners (CNC and conventional), with a strong emphasis on CNC milling. In your role, you instruct, support, and motivate your colleagues to achieve the set production goals. Like no other, you are able to get the maximum out of your team and take them to a higher level. Together, you are responsible for the machining of parts, castings, and welded assemblies within the desired tolerances, surface finish, and production times. Additionally, you are responsible for securing the entire machining process, from machining strategy and clamping to quality assessment.

In addition, your tasks consist of:

• Creating the daily detailed schedule and monitoring progress.
• Determining the machining conditions and parameters.
• Thinking along regarding the correct approach, tool selection, and machining strategy.
• Assisting in assessing manufacturability.
• Assisting in improving production efficiency.

Your strength

As Machining Team Leader, you are performance-oriented and your goal is to achieve the highest yield from the combination of man and machine. Additionally, you work meticulously, are a true team player, and are flexible. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

• You possess an MBO+ working and thinking level with, of course, sufficient knowledge of reading drawings, supplemented by leadership skills.
• You possess extensive experience as a machinist, preferably in large-scale work.
• You have knowledge of both CNC and conventional turning.
• You have experience with the clamping, centering, and machining of castings and welded assemblies.
• Preferably, you have knowledge of programming with a Heidenhain, Siemens, and/or Fanuc control.
• You possess the necessary material and tool knowledge.
