What we're looking for

A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in, for example, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive, or Mechatronics.
A few years of experience within Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience with setting up, industrializing, or improving production processes.
Knowledge of ERP systems, bills of materials, routings, and process documentation.
Good communication skills and a pragmatic, result-oriented attitude.

The role

Your role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a new Engineering team, consisting of Manufacturing Engineering, NPI Engineering, and Product Engineering. Projects are led by Project Leaders and you report to the Engineering Manager.

Together with the NPI Engineer, you ensure that new products are successfully translated into a stable and reproducible production process. Where the NPI Engineer focuses on the product, you focus on the production line, the processes, and the resources required to produce the product efficiently.

What you'll do

Your primary responsibilities

You translate engineering data and eBOMs into manufacturable mBOMs, routings, and production processes.
You design and implement production lines, workstations, and factory layouts with an eye for safety, ergonomics, and material flows.
You specify, select, and implement machines, tooling, and production resources in collaboration with suppliers.
You draft work instructions (SOPs) and ensure proper safeguarding within the production organization and systems.
You supervise the commissioning of new production lines, including acceptance testing, training, and ramp-up.
You analyze production problems and implement structural improvements in the areas of quality, delivery reliability, and efficiency.
You work intensively with Product Engineers, NPI Engineers, Project Leaders, and production to ensure products leave the factory according to customer wishes.
