What we're looking for

In addition, you possess:

A completed technical HBO (University of Applied Sciences) or WO (Research University) degree;
At least 5 years of relevant work experience within Quality Engineering, quality management, or a similar role;
Experience in leading improvement projects and coaching colleagues;
Knowledge of quality methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, and Root Cause Analysis;
Experience within a technical production environment, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry;
Good communication skills in both Dutch and English;
A proactive, result-oriented, and connecting leadership style;
Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mentality.

The role

As Lead Quality Engineer, you are responsible for driving and ensuring quality improvements within the organization. You act as a subject matter expert and sparring partner for colleagues within production, engineering, supply chain, and management. Using your knowledge and experience, you provide direction to complex quality issues and know how to successfully implement improvement initiatives. You monitor the quality of our products and processes, translate strategic quality objectives into concrete actions, and ensure that continuous improvement is a structural part of the organization. Additionally, you coach and guide colleagues in quality methodologies and actively contribute to the further development of the quality organization.

What you'll do

Developing, implementing, and further professionalizing quality strategies, processes, and procedures;
Leading complex quality and improvement projects within the organization;
Acting as the subject matter point of contact for quality issues towards production, engineering, suppliers, and customers;
Initiating and guiding structural improvement programs focused on product quality, process performance, and customer satisfaction;
Preparing, guiding, and following up on internal and external audits;
Analyzing quality deviations, product problems, and customer complaints and ensuring sustainable solutions;
Executing and guiding in-depth root cause analyses and implementing effective corrective and preventive measures;
Coaching and supporting Quality Engineers and other colleagues in the field of quality methodologies and problem-solving techniques;
Monitoring quality KPIs and reporting results, risks, and improvement opportunities to management and stakeholders;
Maintaining and strengthening relationships with customers, suppliers, and certification bodies.
