What we're looking for

Minimum HBO (Higher Professional Education) working and thinking level (preferably (Technical) Business Administration, Logistics, or Technology).
Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, procurement, or supply chain (e.g., as a buyer).
Experience in a technical and/or production environment.
Experience with supplier management and (preferably) contract negotiations.
Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

Nice to have

You are analytically strong and think in terms of data, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
You work proactively, are result-oriented, and take ownership.
You remain calm under pressure and maintain an overview thanks to your strong organizational skills.

Tactical Buyer Vacancy - Fortes Energy Systems - Houten

Are you helping to build the energy transition and a professional procurement organization? The role

As a Tactical Buyer at Fortes Energy Systems, you set the course for effective, future-proof procurement. You are the tactical conscience of the Procurement department and, together with two operational buyers, you ensure that all parts and materials for our AquaHeat delivery sets are available on time, in the correct quality, and under the best conditions.

You interact daily with suppliers and internal stakeholders (including Supply Chain, Logistics, and Production) and continuously monitor the balance between price, quality, delivery time, delivery reliability, and inventory levels. In this way, you make a direct impact on our delivery performance, costs, and the growth of Fortes within the BDR Thermea Group.

Additionally, within the BDR Group, we are continuously working to organize Procurement more effectively. This means challenging projects, entering into collaborations, and implementing optimizations with colleagues from across the group.

What you'll do

Developing, implementing, and monitoring the procurement strategy and tactical procurement plans.
Building, maintaining, and professionalizing supplier management (relationships, performance, and agreements).
Negotiating terms and contributing to contract negotiations and framework agreements.
Benchmarking, conducting market research, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and risk reduction.
Collaborating within the BDR Thermea Group on joint contracts and synergy in procurement.
Coaching two operational buyers and initiating improvements in procurement and supply chain processes.
