Tactical Buyer

• An excellent salary, starting from €4,403 gross per month on a full-time basis. Naturally, you can be scaled higher, depending on your previous (relevant) work experience.

Strong supplier relationships form the basis of a successful supply chain.

Are you an experienced buyer who enjoys making the connection between suppliers, production, and the supply chain?

As a Tactical Buyer, you are responsible for optimizing supplier relationships and ensuring a reliable flow of goods. You monitor supplier performance and actively contribute to improvements within the supply chain. In this role, you combine operational decisiveness with tactical insight and work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers worldwide.

• Maintaining and developing supplier relationships focused on performance, quality, delivery reliability, and cost reduction. You are also responsible for preparing, executing, and following up on Supply Chain Reviews.

• Analyzing supplier performance and initiating improvement actions within the supply chain.

• Preparing and managing forecasts, call-off programs, and purchase orders based on ERP signals.

• Identifying and resolving delivery problems, shortages, quality issues, and escalations.

• Coordinating changes in existing purchase orders and monitoring agreed delivery terms.

• Supporting customer programs through clear-to-build activities.

• Actively contributing to process improvements, inventory optimization, and the prevention of supply chain disruptions.

• Leading escalations to ensure they receive the correct follow-up both with the supplier and internally.

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Technical Business Administration, or a similar field.

• At least 3 years of experience within purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in a technical or production environment.

• Experience with supplier management, supplier development, and negotiation processes.

• Strong analytical skills, a proactive and solution-oriented working attitude, and an eye for supply chain optimization.

• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, combined with a structured and result-oriented way of working.

• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; NEVI certification or a similar procurement training is a plus.
