The role

As a Tactical Buyer at VDL Agrotech, you are responsible for managing and strengthening our supplier relationships. You switch smoothly between operational questions and tactical choices and work closely with colleagues from engineering, logistics, and production. You negotiate prices and terms, monitor the performance of (international) suppliers, and ensure a reliable availability of materials. You also contribute to the further professionalization of our procurement processes and data quality in SAP S/4HANA. Your responsibilities include:

• Negotiating prices, delivery terms, and Incoterms;
• Analyzing and monitoring cost developments and price deviations;
• Coordinating with logistics regarding delivery times, transport, and availability;
• Supporting and managing operational procurement;
• Improving procurement processes and data quality.

You are a tactical buyer who maintains an overview, sees opportunities, and stands firm. You switch easily between colleagues, suppliers, and internal processes and know how to weigh commercial interests effectively.
