At Teledyne Adimec, we develop and produce high-quality camera systems for customers all over the world. To build these systems, we rely on a strong network of suppliers and reliable supply chains. As a Purchaser, you play an important role in this.

You are responsible for a number of suppliers and product groups and ensure that agreements are made and met. In doing so, you look beyond just price. You have an eye for availability, risks, quality, and the long-term relationship with suppliers. Thanks to your work, our teams can continue to rely on a stable supply chain.

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.

You work at a tactical/strategic level, but you do not shy away from rolling up your sleeves and diving into the system when necessary. You are not someone who monitors processes from the sidelines; instead, you dive into the substance and ensure that actions are actually completed.

You are part of a sourcing team with 4 colleagues. In a high mix, low volume environment, the emphasis is on supplier management, availability, and risk management.

In addition, you are involved in new products and projects. Together with colleagues from Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations, you contribute ideas regarding supplier choices, risks, and make-or-buy issues.

• Managing and developing relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Making agreements regarding price, quality, capacity, and delivery times.
• Identifying and managing risks within the supply chain.

• Drafting and executing tactical purchasing plans for your product groups.
• Monitoring the availability of parts in the medium and long term.
• Analyzing supplier performance and market developments.

You are someone who takes ownership, shows initiative, and ensures that matters are actually completed.

You (largely) recognize yourself in the following:

• Minimum HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role and technical environment.
• You are analytically strong and retrieve the information you need yourself.
• You work in a structured manner and ensure that actions are picked up and completed.
• You communicate easily with colleagues and suppliers.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
