What will you do?

As a Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for developing and implementing the procurement strategy for the Truck & Bus product group. You are involved at an early stage in new products and projects, working closely with colleagues from Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Production. You will build a future-proof supplier network and ensure that quality, costs, and delivery reliability align with the objectives of VDL Weweler. In doing so, you will be involved in, among other things:

• Selecting, developing, and managing (international) suppliers
• Leading sourcing processes and contract negotiations
• Representing Procurement within multidisciplinary project teams
• Identifying market developments and risks within the supply chain
• Realizing improvements in the areas of cost, quality, and delivery reliability

You will receive a great deal of responsibility and have a direct influence on the performance and success of our organization.

You are analytically strong, dare to make decisions, and can connect different interests. You are a firm interlocutor for suppliers and internal stakeholders and have experience in realizing improvements in the areas of cost, quality, delivery reliability, and collaboration.
