Strategic Procurement Specialist Construction Materials (Medior) 40 hours p/w (32-36 hours is negotiable)

As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for a portion of our assortment of construction materials and construction shop products. You monitor market developments, analyze opportunities, and translate these into smart procurement decisions.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Negotiating with existing and new suppliers.

• Concluding and managing procurement contracts.

• Developing and optimizing the assortment.

• Analyzing market developments and product availability.

• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

• Collaborating with our affiliated Bouwcenter, Bouwpunt, and Stiho branches.

• Monitoring margins, stock, and commercial objectives.

• Identifying innovative products and commercial opportunities.

You will be given a lot of responsibility, but you will never stand alone. Together with an experienced team, you will work step by step towards an increasingly strategic role.

You are commercially minded, analytically strong, and know how to bring different interests together. You communicate easily with both suppliers and colleagues and feel comfortable in an environment where collaboration is central.

In addition, you bring:

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of work and thinking.

• Experience within procurement or the construction (materials) industry.

• Good negotiation skills.

• Affinity with construction materials.

• Good command of the Dutch and English languages. German is a plus.

• A proactive and result-oriented attitude.
