• You possess at least a WO (university) level of professional and thinking ability.
• You have worked at least 6 years in a substantive role within the C&B field and have experience with CAO processes, remuneration issues, WNT, working time arrangements, mobility issues, and working in multidisciplinary projects.
• You have experience with employee participation and trade unions.

In the tactically strategic role of Compensation & Benefits (C&B) specialist at Stedin, you will work on proposals that enable Stedin to further shape the energy transition as an attractive employer.

In the tactically strategic role of C&B specialist, you are responsible for the further development, innovation, and implementation of employment conditions policy. You combine tactically-strategic advice with project-based work. Naturally, regular operational tasks will arise, such as managing schemes, adjusting our formats, and keeping information on the intranet up to date, but you are more than willing to tackle those.

A day as a C&B specialist:

• You start your day with a meeting with the project team to discuss the progress of developing a future-proof job architecture. The frameworks for the design were discussed last week, and you are discussing the next step and engaging other stakeholders.
• Next, you receive a call from an HR business partner with a complex question regarding the application of our company regulations. Together, you discuss the options and the follow-up process. Before you go to lunch, you dive into your mailbox, which has filled up considerably in the meantime, and prepare for the afternoon.
• You have lunch in the company restaurant on the 18th floor, where you can enjoy your own or purchased fresh lunch and the view over all of Rotterdam. Or you take a quick walk into the city with a colleague.
• In the afternoon, you work with the team on preparations for the upcoming CAO negotiations. Afterwards, you discuss an issue with the core team in the context of the Salary Transparency Act. Together with colleagues, you are working to set up processes so that Stedin is compliant, but you realize like no other that it is about more than just being compliant and you bring the organization along in this.
• During the last part of the afternoon, you delve into a WNT (Senior Officials Remuneration Act) issue. The WNT holds no secrets for you. Afterwards, you conclude your day feeling satisfied and walk to Blaak station, so you are quickly back home.

All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know exactly what to expect:

• A gross monthly salary between € 6078,- and € 8500,- (based on 40 hours), 24.5 vacation days, and pension accrual with ABP, where we pay 70% of the premium.
• On top of your salary, you receive a personal budget of 24% (including 8% holiday allowance). You choose what to do with the budget: for example, extra salary or (up to max. 35.5) extra vacation days. You can see how it works in our calculation tool.
• An annual € 700,- (gross) Sustainable Employability budget to spend on your own energy, for example, for your sports membership or sports clothing.

On top of that, there is this:

• Modern home working facilities and a home working allowance of € 2.40 per day. At Stedin, we work 50% at home and 50% in the office.
• You travel to the office using the public transport free-access scheme. This is a public transport card that you can also use in your free time. Or with the flexible travel scheme, where you choose, combine, and vary how you travel to work and receive an extra allowance if you come by bicycle.

You are a strong and analytically gifted C&B advisor who knows how to translate complex C&B issues into clear and workable solutions and who possesses execution power. You switch effortlessly between the roles of advisor and project leader and convincingly bring stakeholders along in your proposals. You are hands-on, self-starting, meticulous, and enjoy working together in a changing environment. Because you work in a data-driven manner, you know how to convey complex information clearly. You are also used to working in a large, dynamic (corporate) environment with a great diversity of stakeholders and employees. We see affinity with our sector as a plus.
