The role

Your energy in the plus

As an Onboarding Specialist, you contribute directly to the energy transition: behind every connection that makes the Netherlands more sustainable, stands a process that is correct thanks to you.

Why working at Stedin gives you energy.

  • You see the direct result of your work and its impact on the organization.
  • An inclusive working environment where difference in perspective is valued.
  • Collaborating in a professional, small, and close-knit team.
  • Extra vacation days every year? With the personal budget, you can purchase extra days on top of your 24.5 vacation days per year (full-time).

Work you can be proud of

Every day, millions of Dutch people rely on energy. Behind that supply lies a complex process of connections, contracts, invoicing, and customer data.

Behind every new connection that makes the energy transition possible, stands a process that must be correct. You get energy from researching, analyzing, and solving issues, thereby ensuring that connections, contracts, and invoicing align seamlessly. In doing so, you make a visible contribution to the energy transition and to a future-proof energy grid.

Together with your colleagues, you ensure that customers are linked to the right energy contracts and that the surrounding administrative processes are carried out carefully. You investigate missing or incorrect data, communicate with customers, and process information in various systems. In this way, you prevent incorrect invoicing and contribute directly to the financial health of Stedin.

What makes this position special is that you get to know the entire process: from a new connection to the energy grid to the final invoicing. This gives you insight into a crucial part of the energy chain and allows you to see every day how your work makes an impact.

You spend approximately 40% of your time on customer contact. You answer questions, handle objections, and assist customers via telephone and email. The remaining time is spent on administrative tasks, analyses, and processing data in various systems.

This is what your day looks like

  • After your first cup of coffee or tea, you get straight to work. You contact customers who have not yet concluded a contract and help them take the right next steps. Before you know it, it is time for lunch.
  • In the afternoon, you carefully collect all the data needed for preparing and sending notices of liability, or the pre-announcement of an invoice. No file is the same, which means you are constantly switching between different issues and systems.
  • No day is the same. Between your tasks, you work together with colleagues to see how processes can be organized more smartly and efficiently. Perhaps you see opportunities to automate a manual step or have an idea to help customers faster. Those ideas are more than welcome.
  • Because the team is fully engaged with digitalization, automation, and robotization, you regularly get the opportunity to think along about improvements. You discuss ideas with colleagues, test new ways of working, and actively think along about how we can make our service a little bit better every day. This way, you end your workday with the feeling that you have not only helped customers but also contributed to the future of the department.

Here is how you recharge

All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know exactly what to expect:

  • A gross monthly salary between € 3,666.33 - and € 5,086.19 (based on 40 hours), 24.5 vacation days, and pension accrual with ABP, where we pay 70% of the premium.
  • On top of your salary, you receive a personal budget of 24% (including 8% holiday allowance). You choose what to do with the budget: for example, extra salary or (up to max. 35.5) vacation days. You can see how it works in our calculation tool.
  • € 700.- (gross) annually to spend on your own energy, for example for your sports membership or your new sportswear.

On top of that, there is this:

  • Modern home working facilities and a home working allowance of € 2.40 per day. At Stedin, we work 50% from home and 50% in the office.
  • You travel to the office using the public transport-free scheme. That is a public transport card that you can also use in your free time. Or with the flexible travel scheme, where you choose, combine, and vary how you travel to work yourself and receive an extra allowance if you come by bicycle.
  • Your development is central: attending events with colleagues and following training and education. This is how you get the best out of yourself.

With these skills, you will grow further

You are an expert in Stakeholder Management within a complex organization. You are familiar with building sustainable relationships and know how to create support for changes in processes and digitalization.

Furthermore, you bring:

  • In conversations, you can get to the core of a question or problem, even when information is incomplete or contradictory.
  • You recognize deviations in data and processes, investigate where they come from, and arrive at a solution that works in the long term.
  • You switch easily between different systems, understand the connection between data, and use that information to make well-founded choices.
  • You take responsibility for the quality of your work, maintain an overview of multiple files at once, and work purposefully towards a correct and timely completion. You actively seek collaboration with colleagues within and outside the team, share knowledge, and contribute to a professional working environment.

Take the step to your next challenge

In your motivation letter, we would love to read how you apply the skills mentioned above in practice.
