What you'll get

  • A gross monthly salary of up to € 7,200.- gross per month (based on 40 hours), 24.5 vacation days, and pension accrual with ABP, where we pay 70% of the premium.
  • On top of your salary, you receive a personal budget of 24% (including 8% holiday allowance). You choose what to do with the budget: for example, extra salary or (up to max. 35.5) vacation days. You can see how it works in our calculation tool.

The role

As an Operations Specialist Business Operations, you ensure that our electricity grid remains reliable, safe, and stable. Precisely now that the grid is becoming increasingly crowded, you make the difference with smart analyses and well-considered measures.

As an Operations Specialist, you keep a close eye on the medium voltage grid. You analyze risks, prevent overloading, and ensure that the electricity grid remains available for our customers. For medium voltage, your role is new, so how you are going to do that, you will devise yourself together with your colleagues and chain partners.

A day as an Operations Specialist:

What you'll do

  • You work on current issues such as grid congestion, maintenance, and outages.
  • Hybrid working as intended: the freedom to work from home and yet remain connected to your team at the office.

  • With a cup of coffee or tea, you start the day by reviewing operational peculiarities, such as outages and overloads.
  • Afterwards, you perform an analysis and assess whether the available transport capacity is sufficient, or whether measures must be taken.
  • You look for solutions when there are bottlenecks and advise on the best way to optimally utilize the medium voltage grid.
  • You work together with colleagues and external parties on new processes, improvements, and system tests.
  • You think along about congestion measures, better utilization of the grid, and the deployment of flexible capacity via GOPACS.
  • In emergency situations, you guide emergency plans to get the network operational again as quickly as possible. You ensure that everything is well prepared, so that we can act quickly and carefully when it comes down to it.

  • In addition to your duties during office hours, you are part of the on-call service. Approximately once every 6 weeks you are on duty and are responsible for the deployment of flexibility for one week, before 7 AM.
  • This position is for 40 hours. 32/36 hours is also possible.

  • A completed technical HBO (higher professional education) degree, for example in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in an electrotechnical environment.
  • Proficiency with automated systems and the ability to quickly master new systems.
