Due to the energy transition, more work is coming our way than ever before. Soon, many more electric cars will be on the road, houses and neighborhoods will be disconnecting from gas, and we will be returning mass-produced self-generated energy. As a result, customer questions are becoming increasingly complex and major adjustments to the grid are necessary. At the same time, our grid must remain reliable and outages must be resolved as quickly as possible.

You perform challenging and varied tasks: VCT inspections, investigating meters for both the meter pool and upon customer request, as well as inspection work for various projects within the department. You perform random quality measurements on smart meters, as well as on current meter cabinets to see if they are still measuring within tolerances. At the request of the customer, you also carry out dispute investigations.

A day as a Measurement and Quality Specialist at Stedin

• Every day you start from home and head to the first customer. The customer is aware that you are coming and knows why you are coming, namely to measure the gas meter. You explain in detail what you are going to do.
• You disconnect the gas meter and take it to the van, which is specialized in performing gas calibrations. You record the results in a form intended for that purpose. If the meter is rejected, it must be replaced. This can be done immediately, but you can also make a new appointment.
• In addition to measuring gas meters, you also perform calibrations of electricity meters and VCT inspections. These are inspections at customers where an electricity meter has been installed or replaced that day. After the inspection, you go to the next address.
• At the end of the day, you go home after your last customer.

All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know exactly what to expect:

• A salary starting from € 3098.06 gross per month if you work 40 hours.
• A personal budget of 24% on top of your salary (incl. 8% holiday allowance). That means a maximum of € 742.53 extra salary or up to 35.5 extra vacation days. You can see how it works in our calculation tool.
• € 80,- net field service allowance per month. This is how we ensure you also have a nice cup of coffee during your work!

On top of that, there is this:

• € 700 (gross) annually to spend on your own energy, for example for your sports subscription or your new sportswear.
• Grow and develop? With us, it is possible! Follow courses or training; we pay for them.

You are a technician ready for a different step. Safety, quality, and customer satisfaction have the highest priority for you. Experience with combined electrical & gas work is a plus, and you possess practical and logical thinking abilities.

Furthermore, you have:

• The VP-G Meter Cabinet and VP LS Meter Cabinet instructions, or the willingness to obtain them.
• A VCA-vol certificate or the willingness to obtain it.
• Driving license B.
• A clear ability to assess deviating and specific installations.
• Ready knowledge of safety rules and a careful way of working.
