As Lead Electrical Foreman in Maintenance, you provide operational leadership to the team of Senior Foremen/WVers and Technicians. You ensure daily that faults are resolved outdoors, planned work (maintenance) is carried out, and DA-boxes are installed in our Medium Voltage rooms. Working safely is your number 1 priority. You maintain oversight, adjust where necessary, and ensure everyone knows what needs to be done. Additionally, you are the Person in Charge (Werkverantwoordelijke) on projects and ensure that work can be performed safely.
Why working at Stedin gives you energy:
A lot of responsibility and control in execution
Working on projects that contribute to the energy transition
Collaborating with fellow foremen and contractors
As a lead foreman, you are a technician at heart and soul and passionate about ensuring we can provide our customers with energy every single day. You are strong on technical content, but you are also someone with an eye for people. You participate in performance reviews and you provide feedback both when asked and unsolicited.
You are a connector and seek out fellow lead foremen to coordinate matters across the regions. You also work well with the other operational chains, such as Business Projects. In addition to being a lead foreman, you are also the Person in Charge in Low and Medium Voltage and participate in the on-call service.
You work closely with the team leader and your fellow lead foreman to build a future-proof team for the long term. You regularly go out to the technicians to maintain that connection with them as well.
A day as a lead foreman:
You start the day with a safety check: which activities are planned, what risks are there, and have the correct work and safety measures been taken?
You assess and authorize work plans and ensure that activities are carried out safely and according to the applicable guidelines.
You supervise the execution of activities and monitor planning, quality, and progress.
You coordinate with technicians, contractors, foremen, and other involved parties to ensure work proceeds efficiently and safely.
You intervene in the event of deviations or unsafe situations, take measures where necessary, and always keep the end result and the safety of employees in mind.
