The role
Your energy in the plus
The energy transition presents plenty of challenges: from electric driving and gas-free neighborhoods to large-scale feed-in of renewable energy. As a Digital Business Analyst, you play a key role in this by making processes and decision-making smarter and truly realizing improvements. In this way, you make a visible impact for both the business and our customers.
Why working at Stedin gives you energy:
- Flexible working: at home and in the office
- A personal budget on top of your salary
- An annual Sustainable Employability Budget of € 700 gross (e.g., for your sports membership).
Work to be proud of
As a Digital Business Analyst, you work in a BusDevOps team within one of our Agile Release Trains. You are the expert in improvement yield: realizing maximum customer and business value within the available team capacity and budget.
Both upon request and on your own initiative, you perform LEAN-based analyses on reports, work processes, schedules, and budgets to identify new potential for improvement. You think critically about business cases, determine the benefits to be achieved together with stakeholders, and set up 0- and 1-measurements where necessary to make these demonstrable.
Additionally, you ensure the purposeful realization and implementation of improvement initiatives, report on achieved results, and document new or adjusted processes in our quality manuals. In close cooperation with the Product Owner, you translate process knowledge into concrete features and guide the implementation of the delivered product. All of this applies to both IT- and non-IT-driven changes.
A day as a Digital Business Analyst
- You start the day by analyzing data and reports to gain insight into where processes can be smarter, faster, or more effective.
- Afterward, you dive into LEAN process analyses and diagnoses together with colleagues to sharpen improvement opportunities and make substantiated choices.
- Based on these insights, you work on business cases, in which you clearly map out value, impact, and feasibility.
- You translate improvement ideas into concrete processes, document them, and guide the implementation in practice.
- Finally, you discuss results with stakeholders, advise on priorities, and monitor whether improvements truly have the desired effect.
A good team. You belong there.
From day one, you are fully involved in an Agile Team with developers, business experts, and a Product Owner. Together with an overarching team of Digital Business Analysts, you increase the impact of this role and raise the added value to a higher level across the organization. You work from Rotterdam, but you are also regularly found at other locations to keep the collaboration with colleagues strong and personal.
With these qualities, you will grow here
To be successful in this role, you bring the following:
- HBO/WO working and thinking level with 2-5 years of experience in a similar, data- and analysis-driven role and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with Excel and Power BI; knowledge of R and/or Python and new technologies is a plus, as is insight into their impact on processes and the organization.
- Familiar with Lean Six Sigma and the SAFe methodology (Green Belt or willing to obtain it), with a Lean-Agile mindset and good command of the Dutch language.
Here is how you recharge

On top of your salary, you receive a personal budget of 24% (incl. 8% holiday allowance). You decide for yourself whether to use this for extra salary or up to a max. of 35.5 leave days.
- An annual Sustainable Employability Budget of € 700 gross (e.g., for your sports membership).
On top of that:
- Modern home working facilities and a home working allowance of € 2.40 per day.
- 50% working from home and 50% in the office according to Stedin@Work.
