The energy transition requires not only investments in our energy grid but also continuous improvement of our organization. As Business Controller Change within the Business Complex department/chain, you will play a key role in this. You ensure that the decentralized change portfolio and innovations are financially well-founded and contribute to Stedin's objectives. You will also take the initiative to raise the change portfolio function to a higher level of maturity.

You are the financial sparring partner for the Dedicated Team Improvement Initiatives & Innovation and help Business Complex further professionalize the financial steering of change. In this role, you will work on improving Lean Business Cases, decision-making processes, and benefit tracking, ensuring that change initiatives are not only started but also demonstrably and timely contribute to operational improvements.

In this position, you move at the intersection of finance, strategy, and change. You challenge initiators of changes and innovations to make assumptions explicit, substantiate benefits concretely, and record measurable results. You advise and guide management teams in making choices regarding scarce capacity and investment space. Thanks to your sharp analyses and clear advice, complex decisions can be made with confidence.

You look beyond financial reports alone. You understand what is happening within the organization, establish connections between objectives, processes, and results, and translate complex issues into useful management information. In doing so, you make an important contribution to a future-proof Stedin.

No two days are the same within Change.

One day, you might discuss the financial progress of a strategic change program with a program manager. Then, you work on a business case for a new initiative to improve a core process through standardization and the use of AI.

Later in the day, you join a meeting where the prioritization of change initiatives is discussed and provide insight into financial scenarios and risks. You analyze the progress of ongoing programs and translate your findings into concrete advice for management and the board.

Additionally, you collaborate with colleagues within Finance & Control to further professionalize financial processes and continuously improve the quality of management information.

All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know exactly where you stand:

• A gross monthly salary of at least € 5,208.56 and at most € 7,267.09 (based on 40 hours per week).

• 24.5 vacation days.

• Pension accrual with ABP, where Stedin pays 70% of the premium.

You will join Business Control Business Complex, a team of Business and Project Controllers that forms the financial conscience of both the department and the Business Complex chain. Together, we ensure insight, steering, and financial control of a challenging and dynamic field of work. There is a lot of attention to collaboration, knowledge sharing, and personal development. You work alternatingly from home and at the office and interact, among others, with your fellow Business Controllers, the Dedicated Team Improvement Initiatives & Innovation, the management team of Business Complex, and various other stakeholders within Stedin.

The Business Complex department/chain realizes complex customer and grid projects for large corporate clients. Think of new connections, grid expansions, and reinforcements needed to provide energy to companies, industry, and area developments. With this, the department plays an important role in the energy transition. From Business Control, you contribute to the financial steering of these projects and support management in making well-founded decisions based on financial analyses and insights.

As Business Controller Change, you are analytically strong, organizationally sensitive, and a solid conversation partner for management and program teams.

You combine financial expertise with strategic insight and know how to translate complex issues into clear advice. You are curious, proactive, and feel at home in an environment where change is central.

• A completed HBO or WO degree in Finance, Business Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field.

At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience as, for example:

• Business Controller

• Strategic Finance Business Partner

• Experience with business cases and investment issues.

• Experience within a complex organizational environment.

• Strong advisory skills and stakeholder management.

• The ability to connect financial insights to strategic decision-making.

• Affinity with change processes, transformation programs, or organizational development.
