The role

Are you the Lead Data Governance who will help realize our data-driven ambitions? In this role, you will work on a solid foundation for data within Stedin and play an important role in further professionalizing our data organization.

What gives you energy? Designing, directing, and further developing data governance, so that Stedin's entire value chain can rely on reliable, secure, and well-managed data. You bring structure, maintain oversight, and connect teams to take data management to a higher level.

Working on the energy transition means much more than laying cables. Data and digitalization play a crucial role in the choices we make for the future. Stedin possesses enormous amounts of valuable data, but to be able to utilize it properly, we must first understand, structure, and manage this data.

As Lead Data Governance, you design and maintain the governance program that ensures the availability, usability, integrity, and security of data. You work closely with Data Governance Specialists and support the Head of Data Governance in daily management. Because the current Lead Data Governance is filling this role on an interim basis, we are looking for a colleague to fill the position structurally.

What you'll do

  • You start your day with the Data Office team, where you review the Obeya planning together with the Data Governance Specialists and align priorities with the Head of Data Governance.
  • Later in the morning, you consult with the Lead Data Quality regarding the progress of data quality measurements and new incoming requests.
  • Around lunchtime, you join colleagues who are going to eat outside or in the company restaurant.
  • After lunch, you work on the Objectives & Key Results for the coming year and prepare the monthly Business Unit Review. You schedule appointments, update your mailbox, and end the day at Blaak station, with the feeling that you have once again made a valuable contribution to Stedin's data maturity.

How you'll work

  • Thanks to hybrid working and flexible working hours, you can easily align your work with your private life.

Why working at Stedin gives you energy

  • Make an immediate impact on the energy transition.
  • In addition to salary and vacation days, you will receive an extra personal budget.

With these qualities, you will grow here

As Lead Data Governance, you possess seniority and persuasiveness. You are familiar with the field, know how to inspire others, and can provide direction in a domain that is rapidly evolving. You switch smoothly between policy and practice and stay up to date with developments in your field. Additionally, you are a natural leader who gets teams moving, stimulates ownership, and helps professionals get the best out of themselves and each other.

In addition, you bring the following

  • A completed HBO or WO degree, supplemented with demonstrable experience in setting up or implementing data governance and knowledge of data classification, data quality, retention periods, and metadata (plus).
  • Strong communication skills, persuasive stakeholder management, and the ability to translate policy into practical execution, combined with analytical insight and risk awareness.
  • Extensive experience in operationally managing teams and coaching, developing, and inspiring professionals to get the best out of themselves and each other. You have experience in drafting annual plans, setting priorities based on business value, and managing based on results, progress, and quality. DAMA certification (plus), knowledge of Informatica (plus), and experience with Lean methodologies such as Obeya are a plus.

Take the step to your next challenge

We look forward to meeting you.
