Business Consultant Change

In a multidisciplinary Change Team, you will work together on smart, efficient solutions to scale up Zakelijk Project and thus make a real impact on the energy transition.

Due to the energy transition, more work is coming our way than ever before. More and more electric cars are on the road, neighborhoods are disconnecting from natural gas, and customers are returning self-generated energy en masse. As a result, customer inquiries are becoming more complex, pressure on the electricity grid is increasing, and we must work smarter, faster, and better with scarce technical capacity.

Within Zakelijk Project, we work on this challenge in product chains and professional groups. The department consists of the product chains MS, LS, Large Consumption, and Reconstructions & Gas, together with, among others, the professional groups Technology, Execution, and Management & Environment and Portfolio Management.

You are going to work at Zakelijk Project, where large electricity and gas projects are carried out in West and Central Netherlands. The challenges lie in doubling the capacity for expanding and reinforcing our electricity grid, achieving gas replacement goals, collaborating more efficiently with contractors, and professionalizing project management. As a business consultant, you analyze bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement change.

Whether you work from Rotterdam or Delft, things are well arranged for you. You at least start with a good cup of coffee or tea. You check in with your colleagues from the Design Change team with a week start, and then get to work on your own assignment. This includes...

• Guiding the transition to a new GIS source system together with the overarching Stedin Program. You perform impact analyses, draw up implementation plans, and coordinate these with the program to shape the go-live period. Additionally, you guide the engineers and team leaders in this transition.
• You drive the change regarding automation and autonomy software on the technical side of Stedin and ensure that designs are realized faster. Subsequently, you help processes, systems, and users successfully transition to the new way of working.
• Deepening our role within 'management of execution'. Being a good client is important for Stedin. More and more of the execution work is performed by contractors, making it important to establish good policies and clear frameworks and processes. You help to accelerate this transition together as a team.
• Standardizing design and delivery processes. You analyze differences between regions and teams and realize one uniform way of working for Engineering. In doing so, you have an impact at various levels of detail, from high-level processes to work instructions.
• Translating laws and regulations into work processes. You translate the most recent requirements from, for example, the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM), technology, or compliance into concrete adjustments in processes, systems, and instructions. You do this within set deadlines so that municipalities and project developers experience as little congestion as possible.
• Improving the design chain in general. You identify structural bottlenecks in the chain and realize demonstrable improvements in lead time, quality, and predictability.

You have experience in managing and implementing projects. You are a go-getter, strong in communication, and easily bring stakeholders along in your plans. You make connections easily and ask follow-up questions. You are someone who likes to and is good at taking charge, is decisive, shows initiative, has experience with change management, and works in a result-oriented manner.

Furthermore, you have:

• You have at least an HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking and have completed a degree (preferably in a technical direction).
• You have at least 3 years of experience with project management, portfolio management, and change management.
• You have experience leading complex projects at the intersection of business and IT with multiple (external) stakeholders.
• You have excellent social and communication skills and can easily switch between tactical and operational levels.
• IPMA, Prince 2, Pro SCI, Lean Greenbelt and/or SAFe Agile certification is a plus.
• Affinity with design and engineering processes is an important plus; experience in this is preferred.
• You effortlessly bridge the gap between technical design and engineering specialists on one hand and IT and change professionals on the other.
• You have an affinity with AI, data, and automation solutions and feel at home in an environment where digitalization and technology shape changes at a high pace.
