The role

For the Maison Gaspard de Coligny community center in The Hague, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague. You will organize and offer fun and innovative activities to visitors from the neighborhood.

What you'll do

You will tailor the activities to the wishes and possibilities of the visitors to the community center: elderly people living independently at home looking for contact, socializing, and enrichment of their day. You will initiate and supervise various activities, such as:

  • You support the bridge club and French lessons

  • You organize lectures and workshops

  • You set up new activities, for example drawing or painting classes

  • Do you have a talent of your own? Then we would love to hear it

In addition to organizing and supervising activities, you also have a social role. You supervise volunteers and interns. You work together with colleagues from hospitality and activity coordination at the residential care location. You are a listening ear and a point of referral for informal caregivers. You maintain contact with and actively seek out collaboration partners. You also participate in work meetings, both internally and in the neighborhood. You are part of the The Hague-wide Wijkzorg team: four other community centers, WelThuis, home caregivers, case managers, and neighborhood connectors.

Who we are

Who are we
Saffier is an innovative care organization where the client is central. We focus on who someone is and what he or she can and wants to do. We align with the personal lifestyle of our residents, always keeping an eye on what they find important. Quality of life and autonomy are our starting points, not age and disability. With us, the principle applies: the client does, as far as possible, the things he or she can, in his or her own way. Together with the people around him or her: family, friends, neighbors. The care professionals at Saffier provide a supportive role in doing so.

What you will do

Maison Gaspard de Coligny is a small residential facility for the elderly located in the Benoordenhout district of The Hague. It is atmospherically furnished with a conservatory and a beautiful garden. There are apartments in the assisted living facility and care-guaranteed homes. We also offer the possibility of temporary stays. Due to the small scale of the location, lines of communication are short and we work together for a pleasant living and working environment for our clients.

Good to know

  • Your working days are Tuesday and Thursday. We do not work evenings and weekends, but we do work on public holidays in consultation

  • We are easily accessible by public transport

  • Are you coming by car? Then your parking costs will be fully reimbursed

Your profile

  • You have an affinity with (elderly) care

  • You are social: you enjoy establishing new contacts and collaborations

  • You are creative, independent, and show initiative
