After treatment, our clients stay (or remain) on the nursing ward. Hospitality, excellent service, and good care go hand in hand here to achieve the best recovery results. As a nurse, you guide the client from admission through to discharge. After a short induction period on the ward, you will be immediately deployed across all shifts. Through your experience in healthcare, you know exactly what is required. For you, a client is not just anyone. In this position at Bergman Clinics, you will get plenty of space for 1-on-1 contact with clients. In your role, you focus on the relationship with the client.

What will you do?

• Guiding the client and family by reassuring the client with information about the treatment and aftercare

• Monitoring, observing, and checking an operated client on the nursing ward

• Reporting on care provided and handing this over according to procedure

• Providing pre- and postoperative information regarding, among other things, rehabilitation, wound care, relevant telephone numbers, postoperative complications, and use of medication

• Coordinating, planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care in a welcoming and professional manner

• Together with the orthopedists, anesthesiologists, OR staff, and the outpatient clinic, you make an active contribution to improvements/developments regarding the entire care process

• Deepening knowledge in a specific area of interest and sharing this with your team

• Working day, evening, and night shifts is part of the position. We close every week on Saturday afternoon (and if necessary, we remain open, for which we schedule standby shifts). The shift times are as follows:

  06:30 AM - 03:00 PM
  07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
  09:30 AM - 06:00 PM
  02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
  10:30 PM - 07:30 AM

What do you need to be successful in this role?
You convey your warmth and professionalism to the clients visiting the clinic. You ensure good service and show a lot of initiative. You are a listening ear and can empathize well with what the clients are going through. Furthermore, for this position as a nurse at Bergman Clinics, you bring:

• Nursing Diploma A/4/5 and BIG-registered

• At least 1 year of recent practical experience (pre- and postoperative care) in a general hospital

• Affinity and/or experience with orthopedics

• You work rotating shifts (day/evening and night shifts)

• Flexible availability for working availability and on-call shifts

• You are not deterred by a high turnover

Employment conditions

• Salary based on knowledge and experience between €3,252 and €4,770 gross per month (FWG 45) based on 40 hours in accordance with the ZKN collective labor agreement

• An end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and holiday allowance of 8.33%

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer with a maximum of 80 km (one way). Do you travel by public transport? Then we reimburse these costs fully

• A fixed-term contract with a view to permanent employment. Should you only be available temporarily, we still invite you to apply!

• With full-time employment, you receive 160 vacation hours and no less than 72 extra PLB hours per calendar year. The PLB hour budget has no expiration period

Who and where will you be working?
You will join a close-knit group of people who are there for one another and work with great pleasure. In addition to these direct colleagues, you will have a lot of contact with various colleagues in the outpatient clinics, medical specialists, and clients. In our hyper-modern clinic, we perform a wide variety of orthopedic procedures in four state-of-the-art 'Class I' operating rooms. Despite the advanced facilities, a warm and informal atmosphere prevails. We offer our clients and employees plenty of space: 21 outpatient rooms, 40 comfortable single rooms (open 24/7 from Monday through Saturday afternoon, and if necessary, also on weekends), and a dedicated physiotherapy room. For lunch, an excellent restaurant with a roof terrace is available. Our location is situated right next to the highway, and you can park in one of the more than 100 (free) spaces at the door.
